I’m Cara, the music obsessive behind Rave the Date – a fresh and alternative DJ for truly unique events.​
​
You might not believe it to look at me now, but my musical identity began as a pure emo, metal and punk gal and I still love to relive my angsty teenager days whenever I hear a heavy guitar riff playing nearby.
I’m still in touch with the heavier side of music, but I’ve also expanded my collection over the years to include a huge variety of genres and I adore discovering new sounds. Depending on my mood I'll play techno, disco, funk and soul, dnb, jazz, grunge, 90s pop, punk, house, garage, folk and so much more besides.
MY SKILLS

I learned to mix in 2022, encouraged by my partner who loved the playlists I created for gatherings with friends. Honing the technical side to DJing has inspired me to turn my knowledge and passion for music into something I can share with other people, and I’m having the most incredible time doing it.

I like to think my love and enthusiasm for such a diverse range of music makes me versatile and suited to a huge range of events. It’s not just my taste that makes me stand out from the others - I’m a good listener who will give you the most personalised party playlist you could possibly dream of. I've worked in social sciences for many years which has given me an understanding of body language and reading the crowd, so I'll make sure even your pickiest guests have a reason to dance!

I want to bring a fresh alternative to ‘cookie-cutter’ track-lists, so if you’re looking for someone that knows diverse and interesting genres and can blend them together seamlessly then I'm your woman. ​
